BMW Service Light Reset Tool

Resetting your service and oil light on your BMW can be a hassle. Some jumper pins on the 20 pin connector to make this work. Now its a lot easier. Our BMW service and oil light reset tool makes this job a breeze. Simply connect to your 20 pin service plug under the hood, turn the key to the accessory position and click the button on the adapter. Thats it! No batteries required.

 

NOTE: If your Inspection lights constantly glow, even after being reset, this is usually a fault of the SI Batteries.  You can purchase new SI batteries for your OBD1 car here: SI Batteries

NOTE: E36 is considered OBD1 for this tool, no matter which year.  Please see chart below.

OBD2: 2001-2016

2001-2005 BMW E46 (3 series)

2006-2011 BMW E9x (3 series)

2001-2008 BMW E65 (7 series)

 

Instructions:

1. Plug the Device into the 20 Pin diagnostic socket of the car located in the engine compartment (OBD1), or under drive footwell (OBD2).
2. Turn ignition key to enable the board electronic but don't turn on the motor.
3. Press the button for the operation you want to perform and keep it pressed (about 10 seconds).
4. The LED of the chosen operation will be on.
5. Keep the button pressed.
6. Reset is done when the LED is turning off itself.
7. Release button.
