This HB1 9004 LED decoder is used to fix headlight bulb failures that occur after replacing halogen headlights with LEDs in US and European vehicles. With LED lights and their low-power draw, decoders are used to mimic the way the factory incandescent bulb behaves. Tricking the car into thinking nothing has changed - effectively avoiding the side effects of lamp-out systems such as warning lights, flickering, or pulsing.
