4TRESS Ultra are manufactured from Santoprene by Exxon Mobile, which is from the TPV family of materials, so although technically a plastic, it has the look and feel of rubber. Santoprene is a very expensive raw material costing triple that of normal plastics.

4TRESS Ultra have a thin wire core running through the centre of the profile to prevent the wheel rim protector from ever stretching or shrinking due to extreme temperatures.
4TRESS Ultra alloy wheel protectors are factory fitted with a genuine 3M Automotive grade VHB (Very High Bond) tape with a heavy-duty liner and have been manufactured by Rimblades.

BOND ON UNIVERSAL FITTING

• 4TRESS Ultra have a flexible fitting guide lip on the top side to aid perfect installation.
• Due to the flexible nature of the material, they are conformable to a multitude of different wheel shapes (although they do require a continuous surface).
• These alloy wheel protectors require cutting to size during each application and are supplied in 4 x 1.9 metre lengths and will fit wheels up to and including 22 inch in diameter.
• Supplied with wheel cleaning wipes and 06396 (REACH compliant) adhesion promoters.

FITMENT

1. Wash and dry your wheels thoroughly before you start to fit 4TRESS Ultra. By using the included 4 cleaning wipes, remove any silicon-based dressings which may inhibit tape performance. Preparation of the wheels surface is very important and should not be overlooked.
2. Using the provided adhesive promoter wipes, thoroughly apply and coat where the 4TRESS Ultra will fit. Alloy to dry for 5 minutes.
3. Removing the tape backing as you go, fit the alloy wheel protectors to the wheels ensuring carefully they are applied evenly around the wheels edge. Fit the Very High Bond double sided tape part onto the edge of wheel and press it firmly.
4. Push down firmly all the way round the wheels with firm equal pressure as the tape is pressure activated. Carefully mark and cut the alloy wheel protectors squarely where the ends meet and join using the glue provided.
5. 4TRESS Ultra alloy wheel protectors have a reversible flexible curve. Choose which way round they best fit your wheel type. This will normally be with the short side pointing towards the tyre. Leave to set for at least an hour at room temperature. Trim off any excess tape with sharp scissors or blade. A 24-hour period at room temperature will give a much stronger bond prior to fitting to the wheel.
6. 4TRESS Ultra need to be fitted at a minimum temperature of 15 degrees C. Room temperature of 21 degrees C is the perfect fitting condition. Do not fit in cold or freezing conditions. Initial tape bond strength is 50% after 20 minutes, 90% bond will be reached after 24 hours and 100% after one week.
7. 4TRESS do not recommend motorway/highway speeds in the first 24 hours after fitting.
8. Includes a set of 4 Chrome Silver Dust Caps: 4Tress chrome durable waterproof Dust Cap, perfectly fit on the valve stem of cars. Easy-Grip, No Burr on Surface, Screw-On, provide comfort grip feel ultimately. It is recommended to apply lubricant or grease on the threads to avoid the caps seizing.

The 4TRESS Ultra product has been thoroughly tested and should protect the surface of your alloy wheels. Please inspect your 4TRESS Ultra after collision with a kerb and replace if necessary. 4TRESS Ultra will need to be replaced after a tyre change. Balance weights should be fitted inside the rim as they will interfere with alloy wheel protectors if mounted on the lip. We do not recommend the use of high-power jet washers on wheels fitted with 4TRESS Ultra. Please note, the alloy wheel protectors are not damage proof. In case of accidental contact with the kerb, they can damage and will need to be replaced. The main purpose of the wheel protectors is to minimise the damage to the alloy wheels edges and hide the existing marks and scuffs.
