BondTech Prusa I3 Upgrade Kit MK3S

This Upgrade Kit requires extra parts to install (X-Carriage Kit) PLA Version or  SLS Version

This extruder upgrade kit is for the admired Prusa I3 MK3S. This kit contains the necessary parts to convert to our freshly designed extruder that uses 3:1 gearing ratio for improved precision and resolution, optimized geometry for the heat-sink cooling and and professional SLS 3D printed housing. It also reduces the moving weight to reduce vibrations and ghosting.

Essential Features

This extruder upgrade kit is for the Prusa i3 MK3S or other Prusa i3 models upgraded to the MK3S.


    These are its main features:

    • Adapted to fit Prusa’s new filament sensor
    • Includes one Bondtech’s BMG extruder with 3:1 gearing ratio
    • Optimized geometry for heat-sink cooling
    • Less moving weight to reduce vibration and ghosting
    • Professional SLS 3D printed housing

    Addressing 3D printing Issues

    The enhanced housing design improves cooling and decreases heat creeping issues that all metal hotends have when printing with PLA.

    With this version, we also lower the weight of the movement to reduce ghosting and vibration or to increase the printing speed. A weight saving of 15% will been achieved.

    Updating the Firmware

    To use this upgrade in the MK3S, the E-Steps must be updated to 830 because a 32-bit microstepper is used.
